Black and White Stallion born on 5/20/99
out of
Party's Sacred Smoke & Sass E. Frass C.
A lot of people have e-mailed and
called asking to find out more about Dean. I thought I would post some
information for you just in case you would like to know.
Dean started out riding horses at a young age, and we also have had horses
since the day we were married. We owned Quarter horses before we started
raising Fox Trotters. Before Dean was 20 years old he was breaking horses, as they
called it then. Dean likes to think of it as starting a horse and training
it to ride.
We were afraid he might not ever be able to start another horse again 2
years ago. On March 7th he had to have both knees completely replaced, his
Dr told him that if he rode a horse again it would have to be a gentle broke
horse. On the last day of April Dean's Doctor told him that he could try to
ride a horse in May since he was recovering from the operation so well. We
came home, and later I looked out the door, Dean was on his Stallion riding
him. He can't get on, or off of a horse as fast as he use to be able to, but
he is still starting and training his horses. Sometimes he will also start
horses for other people. I am also ask about how tall Dean is...he is 6' 1".
( When Dean starts these horses, he works them in the round pen for about 10 or 15 minutes, depending on the horse. He doesn't keep them in the round pen for very long. They leave the round pen and go on their very first ride to the woods, and trails close by on the Government. Dean can take a horse out on his first ride and learn him how to work through the woods and brush, cross ditches, logs, and work up and down steep trails)
